How We Share Your Data

From time to time, we may need to transfer the data we collect to third parties, such as cloud-based storage providers. Where we share or transfer the data we collect, we take appropriate safeguards to ensure its integrity and protection.

How We Use Your Data

We will only use your data for the purpose for which you provided the data to O’Neal Webster, for our ordinary professional activities, or for fulfilling our legal or regulatory obligations. When appropriate, requested, or necessary, data may be used for the following:

  • Providing legal advice or other services.
  • We may distribute relevant marketing information where O’Neal Webster has a legitimate interest or where you have consented to us doing so.
  • Managing our business relationship with you or your organization, whether in connection with providing or procuring services or processing payments, accounting, auditing, billing and collection, circulating terms and conditions of engagement, and related support services.
  • When acting in compliance with our legal obligations, including with respect to anti-money laundering and sanctions checks, court orders, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

Additional purposes for which we may process your personal data include:

  • When communicating with you regarding announcements, educational materials, events, and products and services that may interest you.
  • We may gather information regarding your preferences to improve the quality of our communications and interactions with you through analytics, surveys, or the tracking of our e-mail publications.
  • Any other purpose for which you have given consent.

You may withdraw consent at any time, and each electronic marketing communication you receive from us includes an “unsubscribe” option.

How We Secure Data

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures against unauthorized or unlawful processing of your data and personal information in accordance with our internal security procedures covering its storage, access, and destruction. All data may be stored on our own technology systems, those of our vendors, or in paper files.

How We Retain Data

We will delete your data when it is no longer reasonably required for the uses stated above or when you withdraw your consent, provided that we are not legally required or otherwise permitted to continue to hold such data. We may retain your personal data for an additional period to the extent deletion would require us to overwrite our automated disaster recovery backup systems or to the extent we deem it necessary to assert or defend legal claims during any relevant retention period or for regulatory or insurance-related reasons.

Your Rights Regarding Your Data

In addition to your rights under applicable data protection legislation and where we are permitted or required by applicable law and regulation and by our professional obligations, we will provide you, upon request, with a copy of your data, correct any errors identified by you, or erase your data from our systems, notwithstanding a deletion that would require us to overwrite critical disaster recovery backup systems.

Except as set forth above, we will not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. You have the right to restrict our processing of your data and lodge a complaint with supervisory authorities regarding processing your personal data.

With your express request, we will refrain from sending you marketing materials or further communications. All such requests, or any questions or comments regarding this statement or our handling of your data or personal information that you share with us, should be addressed to vking@onealwebster.com or by calling +1 (284) 393-5800.

  • Where we are legally required by law to disclose your personal information
