         Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court

We are pleased to announce that Partner, Paul Dennis has been appointed by the Judicial and Legal Services Commission for the period of October 15 to December 31, 2012. He will be assigned to the island of Nevis. This is Paul’s first temporary appointment to the Judiciary of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court.

 

Kerry Anderson, Managing Partner of O’Neal Webster, extended hearty congratulations to Paul and wished him all the very best for this assignment. Kerry said ‘Paul’s appointment is confirmation of his considerable expertise and experience as a commercial law advocate. I have no doubt that he will discharge his duties as judge with the distinction and professionalism for which is he known.’

Willa Tavernier 
  joined O’Neal Webster in 2004. She is a partner and head of the property and business practice group. Willa has worked in the firm’s commercial and litigation departments, in the areas of corporate/commercial law, insolvency, contentious and non-contentious real estate law and commercial litigation. This background serves her well in her current role where she has principal responsibility for property and business matters which includes contentious and non-contentious real estate and employment issues, corporate and commercial transactions, and contracts and business advisory work. She is regularly instructed by statutory corporations, hoteliers, large commercial enterprises, domestic and international BVI business companies, as well as individual clients.
 

 

 

 
Christopher Simpson joined O’Neal Webster in 2010 and his practice focuses primarily on banking and finance and corporate and commercial law where he advises a client base of leading financial institutions, corporations and law firms on all aspects of corporate finance including bilateral and syndicated loans, bond issues, project finance, property financing, joint ventures, initial public offerings, private placements, mergers, arrangements, corporate restructuring, project finance, special purpose vehicles for tax or corporate structures, investment funds and general aspects of banking and corporate law.
 

Prior to joining O’Neal Webster, Christopher practised at Harney Westwood & Riegels for several years in both their BVI and Hong Kong offices.

Christopher is regularly instructed by leading law firms, financial institutions and corporations on high value banking and corporate transactions. Over the course of his career, Christopher has been involved in numerous IPOs, including on AIM, TSX, NASDAQ, SGX and the LSE. He has also been involved in ground breaking deals including one of the first ever court approved corporate arrangement schemes in the BVI and most recently he was involved in one of the largest single asset real estate financings in China.
